This is a call to action! If we are serious about creating a new culture here is a tangible way to support that vision and help make a difference!
We are pleased to partner with and introduce you to an on-campus theme house called Speak, a ministry that is raising awareness for human trafficking and child exploitation in Oklahoma City; Eric Smith, the Campus Ministries Executive at Southern Nazarene University reached out to us on Facebook recently, and we were honored to meet Eric and his team at our Into the Light concert!
The reason we are excited about partnering with Eric and his group is because it is mainly a group of young college men who want to make a difference in their community…and they realize that to do so they must recognize the very real root issue: pornography.
Because of their willingness to talk about it and address it as they strive to raise awareness about the issue of trafficking and exploitation, it seems vital that we support a group of young men who will make a difference for their generation.
They are partnering with No Boundaries International (NBI), located in downtown Oklahoma City. This year, their vision is to raise money in order to purchase and equip a mobile kitchen that will be utilized by No Boundaries to reach prostitutes, trafficked women, and affected families in the OKC area.
This mobile kitchen will serve as a way to more discretely and directly contact those in that area that have entered into prostitution, have been sex trafficked, and whose lives are affected by social injustice.
Join this group on Tuesday evening, November 12th at the Bethany First Church of the Nazarene
featuring Christian artists:
The Charlie Hall Band and The City Harmonics, Shawn McDonald and The Royal Royal,
New York Times bestselling author Bob Goff
Their vision is to make Oklahoma City a healthier and safer community for its families and their children.
This is a call to action! If we are serious about creating a new culture this is a tangible way to support that vision and help to make a difference.
For those in OKCity, support Eric and his team by showing up on Tuesday, November 12th or donating towards the purchase of this mobile kitchen.
If you don’t live in OKCity, help promote this and encourage a fine group of young men - future husbands, fathers and leaders - aiming to be different and make a difference!!
